About the owners..
David has grown up in the countryside and describes himself as happiest when outside, especially fishing. Fishing has always been David’s passion ever since he was a young lad catching small carp, and as he’s grown so has his passion for catching bigger and bigger carp – along with his dream of one day owning his own lake.
In 2013, he achieved that dream. He and his wife Tina and their young son Hayden packed up life in Britain and bought Etang des Landes, where they are all delighted to be building this new life together.
“I knew I wanted it as soon as I set eyes on it,” he said. “Before I’d even fished it, I knew it was the lake for me.” David is an experienced angler who’s fished many lakes in the South East of England pursuing large carp. Tina is also very excited about the venture, and the couple are eager to say that it’s a comfortable setting for serious fishermen and women alike. When he’s not looking after the grounds, the lake, and the business, David is introducing young Hayden to his love of carp fishing and the shared sense of responsibility to respect the fish and surrounding areas.
