ETANG DES LANDES – FISHERY RULES
Please allow us time for change overs. Arrival time is 2pm onwards & departure should be no later than 10am the following Saturday.
Fish Care
Any fish over 30lb MUST be kept in the water for unhooking and transferring into the slings provided. The fish can only be removed for weighing once the sling is zipped up.
We provide landing nets, slings, mats and cradles so please don’t bring your own.
All other carp can be removed from the water using the sling provided & must be weighed and photographed over the cradle provided.
PLEASE MAKE SURE PECTORAL FINS ARE LYING FLAT AND JEWELRY REMOVED BEFORE LIFTING FISH.
Please bring antiseptic (preferably Propolis) which must be used on all hook holds & any other injuries to fish.
No sacking of fish at any time. Please keep fish in the water while you organise cameras, scales and equipment.
Please keep fish wet while unhooking & taking pictures, use the watering cans provided.
No standing while holding fish (unless you are in the water).
Any fish weighing 45lb+ please contact me so I can take photos and track fish growths.
Bait Rules
House baits only. We have a selection of Elevate Baits that our fish love. Please do not bring your own without prior approval. You may bring your own hook baits and liquids.
Tackle Rules
Micro barbed hooks only – Min Size 6
No “Lock” shaped hooks
Shot on the hook rigs are prohibited
No twigs
Rig tubing must be used – Min length 1m (No leaders of any kind allowed)
No Zig Rig Fishing
Max of 3 rods per angler
Min of 18lb line (NO BRAID ALLOWED AS MAINLINE EXCEPT FOR MARKER / SPOD)
No hybrid lead clips or fixed lead systems
General Rules
You will need your waders as there’s a good chance you will have to get into the lake ! I have cleaning solution here to wash them before you start fishing.
Bait boats are allowed.
No rods to be left unattended at ANY TIME.
IF YOU GET SNAGGED on anything please DO NOT pull for a break, we have a boat.
No one under the age of 16 allowed to fish for Carp without prior approval.
Drug & alcohol abuse will not be tolerated, anybody found intoxicated with their rods still in the water will be asked to leave…you’re on holiday…enjoy, but please don’t be fishing if you’re drunk…take the night off.
Recycling Waste Rules
NO LITTERING PLEASE!
All bins are labelled for recycling. Kindly take your rubbish with you. We can no longer recycle large amounts of rubbish due to new restrictions in our area.
